LECTURES:
The Humanitarian Space Lecture series is continuing. The first was given
by Dr. Kevin Rogers on Darfur. This spring TDI had invited Jim Mosenthal to discuss his experiences in Afghanistan. This will be followed by a second speaker later in the semester. So keep watching for the
announcements.
A STUDY GROUP :
Beginning with Ourselves
TDI will host a 4-session Study Group for faculty on diversity utilizing structured personal narratives and articles to explore issues of discrimination, oppression and privilege at a deeper, more personal level. These facilitated discussions will be led by members of the TDI committee. They provide an opportunity to explore our own histories and experiences and learn how these understandings inform our work with colleagues and students.
